What we do

Viable Opportunities for Indigenous Created Economies (VOICE’s) goal is to support and advance Indigenous economic development by fostering Indigenous people’s individual and collective abilities, and considering the needs and aspirations of Indigenous communities, thereby supporting the goals and objectives of Indigenous communities and governments.

What we offer:

  • We facilitate discussions and planning through highly efficient, visually-focused workshops.
  • We write grants and proposals to assist in accessing external funding for community priorities.
  • We help communities develop business plans that are designed for action and implementation.
  • We advise and consult on economic development strategies and planning.
  • We support leadership in strategic decision making.
  • We produce realistic options for discussion out of complex scenarios.
  • We connect communities with wise practices.
  • We develop methods for communities to support entrepreneurs and small businesses.
  • We provide tools for communication, including websites, mobile applications and social media.

Where we connect

Our team members have been honoured to be invited into over 45 Indigenous communities across British Columbia in the last 5 years alone. We make authentic connections, and listen and speak with our hearts, respecting the wisdom and lived experiences of our ancestors and Elders. We build relationships with empathy and a deep respect for diverse culture. While we work remotely when budgets necessitate – we recognize there is no substitute for face-to-face communication, sharing meals, laughter, and spending time together.

We also respect the principles of OCAP (ownership, control, access, and possession) – if you would like to learn more about projects we have completed, we are delighted to request permission from our past clients to share examples applicable to your current projects.

Let’s build something great together.
